Looks like the future Feels like the past Too many fears Stuck inside my head I hope there are more than Two ways to skin the cat First two tries Kept me where I’m at Too much structure Not enough ice It’s getting cold outside (Let’s burn down the house) Getting cold outside (Let’s burn down the house) Jump into the fire

Better angels make poor reading Truth is such a waste The devil is in the details Of your sordid past Make the story fit Put your memory to the test Give to me the juicy bits I’ll fill in the rest I’m a ghostwriter Putting thoughts inside your head Pay me to be your conscience Invent things you never said You can fill whole chapters With vague vignettes Pages of prose and wit Put your patience to the test Names, dates and numbers Are subject to change Only lack of imagination Prevents your turning the page I’m a ghostwriter Putting thoughts inside your head Pay me to be your conscience Invent things you never said I’m a ghostwriter Putting thoughts inside your head Pay me to be your conscience Create a life you never had

Next Exit 7 06:09
Wheels of fortune turning Engine warming up Rubber burns on the road Even after we stop Satellites fell from heaven Now we have lost our way We are storm chasers Head straight into the fray Next exit 7 (turn off, turn off) Next exit 7 (turn off, turn off) Elephants in the room Needle in the red Multicolored rain falls Making music in my head Let’s find a way back to heaven Time ten times three On ramp, off ramp, cross the land Is the way life meant to be Next exit 7 (turn off, turn off) Next exit 7 (turn off, turn off) Next exit 7 (turn off, turn off) Next exit 7 (turn off, turn off)

When you’re ready for adventure If you’re looking for some fun Let’s play army Watch the neighbors run Load gear in the car Pretend it’s a jeep Little Bobby’s got a handgun Sit him in the backseat Let’s start a war It’s something to do In with the old Out with the new We’ll fashion ammo From peace plowshares Go to the dark side of town Catch them unaware Plain-clothes camouflage Will distract the stares Target the oldsters They’re so easy to scare Let’s start a war It’s easy to do In with the old Out with the new At the end of the day We soldiers will sing That age-old hymn Violence settles everything Bullets and bombs No hostages to take Only use ‘em once Best investment you can make
5.
Doesn’t matter you’re a man or mouse Plenty out there to be angry about You’re only moments from shanty town Time to turn that frown upside down Thoughts & prayers Makes no difference, rich or poor Are your toys worth fighting for? Time to cash in those thoughts & prayers You can find them everywhere Thoughts & prayers If there’s a lesson to be learned Best get used to being burned No war is ever really won When you go to battle with a gun Thoughts & prayers

Industry Man 10:07
It’s a well-oiled machine I’m just a cog They march us into battle Through smoke and smog I tear down your bridges To build higher walls I’d allow you to tag along You’re not up to the task Born on a low rung Never rise above your caste Better stay on the rough Side of the tracks I’ll make sure you remain In that cardboard shack

9.
There’s somebody doing Something somewhere And nobody is nowhere Doing nothing Who is someone? Where is nowhere? Why is it never A day past forever Sometime? Hush hush Can’t say a thing Don’t know why I Can’t see the sky For the ceiling Tomorrow is a time That hasn’t happened Yesterday was a place That hadn’t been there Before Hush hush Can’t say a thing…

about

Comprised of four tracks from 2016's "Following the Noise" EP (remixed and remastered) plus 6 new songs. Largely commentary on contemporary social/political issues ranging from corrupt politicians to handgun obsession with a little tongue-in-cheek lyricism. Two tracks are instrumentals. Electro-pop progressive rock with ambient moments.
