about

An electro-Medieval travelogue via fantastic imaginary routes to psychoactive Gothic dreamscapes. Very much an electronic/acoustic hybrid with other-earthly textures, environments and sounds. Menacing creatures roam ever-changing landscapes in search of peaceful resolve.

"With “The Outpost Sentinel” one gets the feeling of outer space, especially the otherworldly synths and flutes entwining through the soundscape. Some of the distorted swirling synths reminded me of something Floyd might have conceived. Alan Parsons also came to mind. It’s a relaxing piece, one to just chill out to. More trippiness can be heard on the more experimental “Little Slices Of Time”, another voyage into unknown realms. The dulcimer is used extensively here and the electronic samples are extremely well placed. Just a really cool freaky track.

It’s this foray into organic and electronic that Crommie does so well and makes his music so very interesting. VIA is well worth a listen for those seeking music of a more experimental and at times tranquil nature."
- Sea of Tranquility

"Via is very much of the new age, ambient style with a mission to create slowly-evolving soundscapes where moods and rhythms gently undulate" - DPRP
